The GPT version in 2020 didn’t make much impact, not till GPT-3.5 debuted in November 2022 in the form of ChatGPT, a fine-tuned version that is essentially a general-purpose chatbot and that took over the Internet by storm, amassing more than a million users within 5 days.

ChatGPT can engage with a range of topics, including computer programming, TV scripts, scientific concepts and much more.
According to OpenAI, GPT-3.5 was trained on a blend of text and code published prior to Q4 2021. Like GPT-3 and other text-generating AI, GPT-3.5 learned the relationships between sentences, words and parts of words by ingesting huge amounts of content from the web, including hundreds of thousands of Wikipedia entries, social media posts and news articles.

For mankind, this is a significant milestone achievement that has unlocked so much potential and yet, opened up Pandora’s box.

The human society must embrace more critical thinking skills in order to survive, while entrepreuneurs can focus on new biz models based on ultilizing AI technologies at L1, L2 or L3 tiers.

This world will never be the same from here on… embrace this AI future or be left out in the cold.
